The Chairman of the opposition party Ucid Eng. Feisal Ali Warabe has scoffed at the rhetorical statement made on Thursday by Puntland President Saeed Abdullahi Deni that demanded Somaliland military to withdraw from Las Anod.
The UCID chair was categorical that such a move would not happen and instead asked Puntland to save face and avoid any confrontations whatsoever.
“The Somaliland armed forces will not be withdrawn but would in effect much further on to secure its borders and get rid of the foreign invasions”, said Eng Feisal.
He said that it would be better for Said Deni to avoid more humiliations since if goes unchecked, the war would be at his doorstep.
The politician accused Deni of being behind the perpetration which has since caused displacement in Las Anod, a city that he said was hitherto sprawling and more vibrant than Puntland towns of Boosaso and Garowe.
