Somaliland: President meets with Ms. Kristina Svensson, Head of the World Bank office in Somalia

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, on Wednesday received the Head of the World Bank office in Somalia/Somaliland Ms. Kristina Svensson, accompanied by Ms. Kaltuun Hassan, a senior World Bank official.

The President during the meeting reiterated the sovereignty of the Republic of Somaliland and how the insistence on its rightful independence cemented the unity of its nation(Government and the People}”.

The two sides during the meeting discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between the Republic of Somaliland and the World Bank and how to expand and enhance the World Bank’s development projects in the Republic of Somaliland.

The Head of the visiting delegation pledged to intensify their cooperation and to invest more in the World Bank’s development projects in Somaliland.

The President was accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Isse Kayd Mohamud Ragsale, Planning, and National Development, Hon. Omar Ali Abdillahi Bade, Finance Development, Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire, Livestock and Fisheries Development, Hon. Said Sulub Mohamed. and the President’s Adviser on Economic Affairs, Dr. Osman Sheikh Ahmed.
