Hon Hussein Abdi Dualeh , Minister of Energy and Minerals today in his office received the H.E Verjorn Heines , the Deputy Norwegian ambassador to Kenya and his delegation.
During the meeting the two sides discussed ways to enhance the existing cordial relations between the two countries.

“Our meeting today was fruitful, our Norwegian partners have expressed their commitment to enhance cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals in terms of capacity building and developning the energy sector in the country
H.E Verjorn Heines, the Deputy Norwegian ambassador to Kenya speaking to the media moments after emerging from the closed door meeting expressed his pleasure and gratitude for the ‘warm hospitality’ given him and his delegation and for a ‘fruitful’ meeting.
I am very pleased to be back in Hargeisa, Somaliland, these not being my first time here. we discussed development issues with the Minister of energy and Minerals and also specifically on possible partnership relating to the energy sector and other sectors.
On the other hand, Norway have had a long presence in the country and there are many Norwegian NGO’s working in the country and also somalilanders in the diaspora. I look forward for a continued partnership in the future.
