The government and people of Finland are satisfied with the impact of the support to Somaliland.
This was reveled at the Somaliland presidency in Hargeisa during a meeting between the Finnish envoy to Kenya Ambassador Tarja Fernandez and president Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo.
The two sides upon acknowledging the immense impact on the country as a result of Finnish Developmemt and humanitarian aid also pledge to continue working together.
At the meeting in which president Silanyo was flanked by his foreign and presidency ministers, the head of state who took the time to thank the Finnish envoy also informed that the support to the country’s health sector by Helsinki has been very useful.
The Finns also revealed their intentions to support production of renewable energy in addition to the huge input towards presidential and parliamentary elections slated for March 2017
The Finnish envoy who is accompanied by his embassy’s aid counsellor Eva Alarcon is going to hold meetings with various entities in the country among them political parties and civil society organizations.
