The president of Somalia regional administration in Ethiopia, Abdi Mohamoud Omar alias “Ilay” has revealed that his authority is committed to bring the conflict between Somaliland and Khatumo to end by peaceful means.
The Somalia regional president in Ethiopia made the remarks following a meeting with Somaliland delegation headed by the interior minister, Ali Mohamed Waranade.
Somaliland delegation met with president Ilay in Jigjiga during talks between the two sides.
Mr. Abdi has firmly stated that Somaliland authority has accepted to end the long standing hostility between Khatumo and Somaliland government.
The president has said that his administration sent a message of peace which will lead to bring the bloodshed and hostilities between Somaliland and Khatumo to and end.
He firmly stated that the appeal has been accepted by Somaliland government and sent to Jigjiga a ministerial level delegation to further hold discussions on the thorny issue.
Elders from the Somalia regional adminstration in Ethiopia are due to travel to Buhodle, Sool and Ayn regions in a bid to meet with them over the conflict that is between Somaliland and Khatumo.
Mr. Abdi Omar has further revealed that he chose elders, imams and politicians where both sides have put trust on them.
