Somaliland: Ethiopian delegates hold talks with Somaliland president

Somaliland government and its neighboring Ethiopia held talks yesterday in Hargeisa, Somaliland capital.

President of the Republic of Somaliland received high level delegation from Ethiopia at the presidential compound.

The Ethiopian delegates were headed by its representative to Somaliland Berhane Tesfaye and was accompanied by senior Ethiopian diplomats.

Hon. Musa Bihi Abdi as the chairman of Kulmiye ruling party was in attendance at the talks.

The two sides have discussed the  level of security and bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

The session talks lasted for hours according to close sources to the presidential compound.

They agreed that it is the mutual interest of the two nations to create peace and stability in the border areas.

The Ethiopian delegates hailed president Silanyo that he plays a key role in the responsibility of stabilizing the whole region of Horn of Africa.

Ethiopian delegation pledged to play their role when it comes to protecting and keeping the peace and security in border regions with Somaliland.

Berhane Tesfaye, Ethiopian representative to Somaliland has made clear that the dissident Sultan Wabar has been expelled from Ethiopian soil and is hiding in Somaliland territory.

Ethiopia authorizes Somaliland forces to enter into her soil if a threat is seen.

Somaliland representative to Ethiopia, Mohamud Ahmed Jama was in attendance during the sessions talks.
