Somaliland: Police arrest Somali MP in Borama

Somaliland authorities arrested an MP from Somali’s Federal Parliament, on the orders from Borama provincial Governor Hon. Mohamud Ali Sulieman “Ramah” on Wednesday.

Mr. Ahmed Husein “Sitin” is a Somali lawmaker who hails from Somaliland, Awdal province.

Security Force in Borama who remain alert and vigilant detained the Somali lawmaker last evening.

Borama regional Governor Hon. Ramah has confirmed the apprehension of a Somali lawmaker who hails from Somaliland in Awdal.

He assured that he will be brought before the rule of law soon and praised the vigilance of Somaliland security forces who are on duty all the time to prevent anything that pose a threat to Somaliland security.

On the other hand, Mr. Ramah has sent warning messages to the illusionists that believe they represent Somaliland in Somalia.

Mr. Ramah has promised to keep watchful eyes on anyone that tries to conspire against the nation of Somaliland.

Somaliland is state that is not internationally recognized by the international community.

It broke away from Somalia in 1991 after military leader was ousted from power.
