Police beef up security nationwide in response to parliamentary dispute

Somaliland’s National Police Force on Thursday announced that they’re beefing security up across the country in response to the recent dispute with Somaliland’s House of Representatives

“Police across the country will be on stand by to strengthen security across the country. Somaliland’s National Police Commissioner, Abdullahi Fadal Iman, is calling on all Somalilanders to cooperate with police over the next couple of months,” Hiis said.

Somaliland’s National Police Commissioner, Abdullahi Fadal Iman, says the police will take action against any individual(s) who attempt to cause disorder over the next couple of months.

“Our police force will be dedicated to protecting our peace and stability over the next couple months, as we prepare for November’s Presidential Election. Anybody who attempts to threaten Somaliland’s national security will be dealt with harshly,” Iman said.
