Somaliland: Cabinet council endorses budget 2017 unanimously

The state has unanimously endorsed the nation’s annual budget for the year 2017.

According to a press release from the Presidency signed by the Presidential Spokesman Hussein Adan Egge (Deyr), the three sixty plus million dollar (USD) budget was 27.5% more than the previous one; thus two trillion plus local currency.

The release noted that the 210th cabinet meeting endorsed unanimously the budget which happens to be the 25 the country has had.

The Thursday’s meeting was chaired by the vice President H.E. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismael Seyli’i.

The Press released similarly noted that the decision was met collectively by the cabinet council following long deliberations.

Basically the general budget for the year 2017 may be broken down as follows:-
