The EU envoy and Kulmiye top brass officials discussed in depth about the country’s democratization process as pertains to status of voter registration and subsequent preparations for presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 March next year.
The chairman of Kulmiye Ruling Party Hon. Muse Behi Abdi who is also Kulmiye’s presidential candidate had taken in-depth parley with European Union Special Envoy for Somaliland and Somalia Mr Michele Cervone D’Urso.
At the meeting in Hargeisa on Sunday the EU envoy and Kulmiye top brass officials discussed in depth about the country’s democratization process as pertains to status of voter registration and subsequent preparations for presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 March next year.
According to a press statement released from Kulmiye Media Group, Muse Behi thanked the EU for continued humanitarian and development support and urged the diplomats to facilitate implementation of large scale projects thence enhance creation of employment opportunities imperative to sustainable livelihoods in Somaliland.
Furthermore, Kulmiye’s flag bearer – Mussa Behi Abdi has reiterated the indispensability to hold peaceful, free and fair election. He promised that his party along with the government prepared everything necessary. “We are too dedicated and committed to hold free and fair elections on the slated time,”said Muse Behi.
