Festivities marking the quarter century nationhood of Somaliland were held with pomp in all regional and district headquarters.
The main activities were officiated by President Ahmed Mahmud Silanyo at the presidency in Hargeisa where he, head of state, not only congratulated citizens for their 25 years of perseverance in harmony while commending them for steadfast belief in the ultimate recognition of The Republic of Somaliland as a nation among nations.
In the Toghdeer regional capital Burao the Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi Sayli stood shoulder to shoulder with opposition Wadani party counterpart Ahmed Mumin Seeth among other invited dignitaries in commemoration of the country’s silver jubilee anniversary of independence at. Stadium where thousands of citizens were treated to much entertainment.
