Former minister Dr. Abdi Aw Dahir has died.

BUROA— Former minister Dr. Abdi Aw Dahir Ali passed away in Buroa on Wednesday, following a brief heart attack illness.
Mr. Abdi Aw Dahir served as Livestock Minister, Labor and Social affairs minister in the current government led by Ahmed Silanyo. He also worked under the late Somaliland president Mohamed I. Egal’s administration as UDUB’s ruling party secretary. The late Dr. Abdi has had disagreements with former president Riyale that led him to leave UDUB and joined Kulmiye which was a strong opposition party. The demise of Dr. Abdi was a practicing doctor who served for his own people in Buroa. Preparations are underway to perform the funeral after consulting them. Condolence messages poured in from people belonging to various walks of life.
