Somaliland’s minister for foreign affairs, Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire has chaired the first meeting held at Mansoor Hotel by the recognition committee that the Head of State recently appointed in a presidential decree.
All members have thanked the president on appointing them in the first place and further commended the efforts of Somaliland gov’t when it comes to its quest of an international recognition.
The committee debated over their role when it comes to the search of a long awaited recognition.
They also talked about ways and means of taking part the forthcoming Somaliland independence anniversary which is marked on 18 May every year.
The country’s foreign minister has distributed a copy of foreign policy to the members of the recognition committee.
They have reached a common understanding when it comes to the realization goal of achieving a long awaited recognition
