Somaliland: Police Arrests Pakistani man Over Shiite Indoctrination

The Ministry of Religion has handed over to security agencies a Pakistani man accused of spreading Shiite doctrine in Hargeisa.

Somaliland police launched an immediate investigation over the allegations that has been leveled against Mohamed.

The man was snooped by religious affairs ministry officials after having received alerts that he was in the middle of spreading Shiite ideology among Somaliland nationals.

The ministry of religious affairs says its has enough evidences which may lead the man to appear before the court of law.

The Pakistani national who is under police custody now is said to speak Somali language fluently and may have involved in dealing with trade.

Somali Intelligence arrested two Iranians accused of spreading Shiite ideology in Mogadushi, an allegation denied by the ministry of foreign affairs of Iran.
