Somaliland: President Silanyo Appoints New Regional Governors, Directors Generals, and Presidential Advisers

The President of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo on Wednesday issued a presidential directive #JSL / M / XERM / 249-3730 / 122015 in which he appoints new officials, transfers and at the same time strip others of their Official duties including Governors, Directors General, Advisers President and others.

President In accordance with powers bestowed on him by Article 90 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland and Article 110 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;

When put into consideration: The importance of the governors have on National building.

When He Saw: The need to fill the vacant positions regional Governors;

Having consulted: With the Ministry of Interior;

After being Satisfied: Ability, knowledge and experience has decided to appoint the following officials;

APPOINTS NEW REGIONAL GOVERNORS:-

1. Mr. Ibrahim Adam (Gabo), from a date to be the New Governor of Togdheer region. (Formerly First Counselor to President)
2. Mr. Yusuf Jama, from a date to be the Governor of the Sahil Region.
3. Mr. Farhan Hassan Abdi, a date to be the New Governor of Selel Region.
4. Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Hashi, from a date to be the New Governor of Daadmadheedh Region.
5. Mr. Jesus H. Shaacuur Jama, from a date to be Deputy Governor of Xaysimo Region.
6. Mr. Naaleeye Sheikh Ahmed Jama, from a date to be the New Deputy Governor of Sanaag Region.
7. Mr. Jama Nathan Cartan, from a date to be the New Deputy Governor of Buhoodle Region.

APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR GENERALS

President Has in accordance with Article 90, paragraph 3, letter (e) of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;

Having considered: The important role of the Directors General in the various ministries;

Saw: The need to fill the jag s Directorate General provisions of the Ministry of Planning and Development of the Republic of Somaliland;

Having consulted: With leaders concerned;

Convinced: Ability, knowledge, experience and character has decided to appoint to the following positions;

APPOINTED THE FOLLOWING DIRECTOR GENERALS:-

1. Mr. Suleiman Said Ali, to be from this date henceforth the date the new Director General in the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland.
2. Mr. Hassan Omar Hoori, to be from this date henceforth the Director General of the Ministry of Planning and National Development of the Republic of the Somaliland.
3. Mr. Mohamed Omar Sheikh, to be from this date henceforth the Director General of the Good Governance Commission of the Republic of Somaliland.
4. Mr. Abdi Warsame Ali, to be from this date henceforth the Director General of the Ministry of Re-settlement of the Republic of Somaliland.
5. Mr. Abdi Rashid Ahmed Guled, to be from this date henceforth the Director General in the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Somaliland.
6. Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Omar, to be from this date henceforth the Director General in the Office of Alms of the Republic of Somaliland.

APPOINTMENT

President: – In accordance with Article 90, paragraph (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;

Having considered: The important role of advisors to the President and nation-building;

Saw: The need to fill the positions;

Having considered: Ability, knowledge and integrity to work;

Convinced: They are Fit to Handle the Work;

APPOINTS TO THE POSTS OF PRESIDENTIAL ADVISORS:-

1. Mr. Secretary General Ali Duale, a date should be the Presidential Advisor Search of International Recognition and talks between the Republic of Somaliland and the Federal Government of Somalia.
2. Mr. Abdillahi Abdi Haji Omar, from a date to be Presidential Advisor on Electoral Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland.
3. Mr. Fahmi Mr. Bald, from a date to be Presidential Advisor for International and the local Non-Governmental Organizations. (former governor of Sahil)

Nomination commission on good governance:-

President: – In accordance with Article 90, paragraph 3, letter (c) of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland;

Having considered: of its members have been good;

Saw: The need to fill the members of its good;

Having considered: ability, knowledge and integrity to work;

Convinced: To handle roles named;

APPOINTS

1. Mr. Mukhtar Osman Abdi, the date to be a member of the Commission for the good governance of the Republic of Somaliland.
2. Mr. Mukhtar Ali Yasin, from a date to be a member of the Commission for the good governance of the Republic of Somaliland.
3. Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud, the date to be a member of the Commission for the good governance of the Republic of Somaliland.
4. Mr. Nur Handulle Arab, from a date to be a member of the Commission for good governance in the Republic of Somaliland.
