Somaliland: President paid farewell courtesy call by outgoing Nicholas Nicholas Kay

The President H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud Silanyo received the outgoing UN Secretary General’s representative to SL and Somalia Mr. Nicholas Kay who paid him a courtesy call of farewell at the Presidency yesterday.

The President was flanked by the Vice President H.E. AbdirahmanAbdillahi Ismael Saili’i and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire. Also present was the Presidency Spokesman Eng. Hussein A. Egge.

The FM pointed out that the President and Mr. Kay had their conversations dwelling mainly on the ways and means of fortifying and bolstering the bilateral relations with the UN, the SL Somalia talks and the upcoming Presidential and parliamentary elections.

On his part, the outgoing official who was flanked with almost a half a dozen officials thanked the government and people of Somaliland for their hospitality and their un-fledgling support for the United Nations organization.

He called upon Somalilanders to make a great success the forthcoming general elections.
