Somaliland: Farmers in Gabiley Receive Hand Tractors To Boost Crop Production

The minister of agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Aw Dahir Ibarhim  has today donated  hand tractors to the farmers nearby and around Gabiley region.

The minister who led a delegation to Gabiley on working visit was accompanied by director general, Gabiley regional coordinator for the ministry and spokesman.

The mission of the donation will assist in enhancing Somaliland’s food security and boost crop production,develop their skills in farming and reduce their operating cost.”

Mr. Mohamed while thanking the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) for all the support it has provided to Somaliland’s agriculture sector, said the assistance will go a long way in the development of the Somaliland national economy.

Minister of Agriculture said the assistance will enhance cooperation and contribute positively to agricultural development for Somaliland farmers.

The diesel engine operated hand tractors are equipped with attachments and can be used for cultivation.

An officer who spoke on behalf of ADRA has said the mission is to boost crop production in Somaliland.
