Danish International development Agency, “DANIDA” has welcomed the election of governing Kulmiye party which chose its presidential candidate and running mate on November, 10.
Danish International Development Agency-DANIDA Somaliland country office program coordinator Michael Thyge Poulsen has said that this is an important step when it comes to the preparation of the forthcoming 217 presidential and parliament elections.
Michael Thyge Poulsen was in attendance the openning of Kulmiye National Convention in which was held at Mansour Hotel.
In an interview with Jamhuuriya Somali newspaper, Mr. Michael Thyge Poulsen has sent congratulatory message to the torchbearers of Kulmiye ruling party which are expected to take part the 2017 elections which is to happen in Somaliland.
He has spoken of the new equipment for the voter registeration that arrived in Somaliland which is necessary for holding free and fair elections in Somaliland.
On Tuesday majority of Kulmiye ruling party Central council committee have voted that the current chairman, Musa Bihi and the current Vice president should be the next flagbearers of the party in 2017 elections.
Denmark is part of the donor countries that contribute to the funds of Somaliland development Fund.
