A large delegation compromisng of the Civil Aviation Minister Mr. Mohmaud Hashi Abdi and flanked by Public Works Minister Mr. Abdirisak have arrived in Las Anod, Sool’s provincial capital today.
The mission of the ministerial level delegation off to Las Anod is to lay the foundation stone of brand new terminals for Las Anod airport which is under reconstruction.
In addition, the Civil Aviation minister handed over to Las Anod City Hall firefighting vehicle and another vehicle which will be used by the regional director for the civil aviation to Sool.
The current Silanyo leadership has earmarked a lot of funds to rebuild Las Anod, as Sool’s state capital which has not received the development projects implemented in other regions of Somaliland due to unrest and violence which has made one of the backward regions in Somaliland in terms of progress.
Las Anod is now enjoying relative peace and stability and much reconstruction efforts to rebuild roads, infrastructure, and the airport are taking place in the town right now.
