Somaliland: UAE Delegation Arrives in Berbera

United Arab Emirates delegation headed by HE. Mohammed Ahmed Al Kit Advisor of the Amiri Diwan – Ras Al Khaimah and Board Member of the National Council for Tourism and Antiquities has today arrived at Berbera airport. Mr. Mohamed Kit is said to be a senior officer at the presidential palace in the UAE.

Somaliland representative to UAE and son-in-law to President of Somaliland Hon. Bashe Awil flanked by Sahil regional officials  have greeted the delegation at the airport.

The current Silanyo led regime embarked visits to the UAE and reports show that the ties between the two countries are getting stronger.

Sahil regional officials have held lunch banquet in honor of UEA delegation that has visited Berbera at the State’s guest house.

The UAE delegation’s mission to Somaliland is to be a fact finding.

They are supposed to assess the humanitarian aid allotted to the victims of drought stricken regions in the country.

They will also evaluate the projects completed in which the UAE gov’t has promised to carry out in Somaliland during the recent meeting in which the head of State of Somaliland paid visits to the UAE.

Details are sketchy over the objective behind the UAE delegation and something is fishy.
