The video Obove shows the faithful in an Indonesian mosque setting a new record for Ramadan’s Tarawih prayers. Praying 23 Rak’ah should have taken no less than two hours – more often than not – more. Eleven Rak’ah Tarawih, for instance, in most Somali mosques takes around an hour fifteen minutes, an hour thirty minutes.
In the following video, supplicants seem to be racing against time in an unusual, most unorthodox manner. It appears as if they are parodying the most secure link between a supplicant and God – Salat.
It takes them 7 minutes to complete prayers for a 23-Rak’ah Tarawih !
