A high level Sudanese delegation has arrived in Hargeisa on Friday and has been greeted at Egal airport by the Defense Minister, State presidential affairs minister, and the director in charge of presidential protocol.
A ten member Sudanese delegates are currently on official working visit to Somaliland and is expected to hold talks with country’s president H.E Ahmed M. Silanyo and his cabinet ministers.
It is not so far clear the purpose behind the visit of Sudan delegation but it is for sure that having Somaliland released a vessel loaded with arms and military weapons that Sudan decided to dispatch a team of her government to Somaliland to establish bilateral ties between the two nations in the Horn of Africa.
President Hasan Omar Al Bashir of Sudan has sent a formal letter to his Somaliland counterpart appealing the immediate release of the detained vessel in the port of Berbera.
President Ahmed M. Silanyo did not hesitate to respond to the letter sent by his Sudanese counterpart and released the vessel which was the property of Sudan.
The visiting Sudanese delegates comes at a time that Yemen is in fighting whereby Sudan is among the Saudi Arbia coalition that is bombing the Houthi Militia that is toppling Hadi leadership.
