Somaliland: President meets with Ethiopia’s State Minister for foreign affairs

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, today received at the Presidential Palace the Minister of State for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Mr. Redwan Hussein accompanied by Ethiopian Ambassador to Somaliland, Ambassador Said Mohamed Jibril, and other officials accompanying the Minister of State.

The two sides discussed how to strengthen the relationship between the two countries of the Republic of Somaliland, the Federal Government of Ethiopia, they also raised issues related to bilateral trade and development cooperation on the Berbera corridor first, and its use of the port of Berbera.

Ethiopia, is in dire need of various ports, with special emphasis on the port of Berbera.

On the other hand, they discussed how to finalize and seal the agreements reached between the two governments, and the implementation of the agreements reached in the interest of both peoples and the two governments.

The President was accompanied by the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Deputy Minister of Health Development, Mr. Liban Yusuf Osman, and an official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland.
