Somaliland: Senior Waddani officials donate medicine to Burao General hospital

A delegation consisting of senior officials of Somaliland’s main opposition party, Waddani, visited Burao General Hospital on Wednesday.

The delegation, led by party’s transitional chairman Abdiqadir Jirdeh, donated several boxes of anti-diarrheal medication to the hospital’s staff.

Burao City Council passed a motion to place the city under a state of emergency on Wednesday, following the sharp rise in the city’s cholera death toll.
