Khatumo leader Ali Khalif Galaydh arrived in Awdal’s regional capital of Borama earlier this morning to meet with the region’s politicians and traditional elders. Galaydh also paid a visit to his alma matter, Amoud University.
Galaydh is traveling with UCID leader Faisal Ali Waraabe and senior government officials headed by Education Minister, Abdullahi Ibrahim Habane. The delegation is expected to stay in the city for the next few days.
This trip is also Galaydh’s first to the region in over 20 years.
