The National Electoral Commission (NEC)has started dispatching awareness teams in Sahil, Gabiley and Awdal region.
Ms Kaltuun of the National Electoral Commission speaking during the press briefing said, “I would like to use this opportunity to urge residents Awdal region to participate in the ongoing voter’s registration exercise which will go on for the next seven days.
Mr. Mustafe Dahir Chine, the Governor of Gabiley region speaking during the launching of the “It’s the right, responsibility and most importantly the duty of every Somaliland citizen to register as voter, when we talk about our democracy; we typically emphasize on the importance of the right to vote’.
Mr Mustafe Miraane, Mayor of Borame said, “My appeal to fellow citizens to come and register as voter during the voter’s registration exercise which will go on for the next seven days.
