Buhodle-At least five people are confirmed died due to the recent outbreak of acute watery diarrhoea and dozens of others are undergoing treatment at the Buhodle regional Hospital in Togdheer region.
Dr. Ali Hukun Yusuf Mohamed, head of the Buhoodle regional Hospital speaking to Wargane.com confirmed the deaths of five people and were treating another 20 patients who succumbed to disease.
He further added, “I, would like to urge the government of Somaliland to urgently to take steps to contain the current outbreak of the disease
It’s not clear yet if the current strain of the disease is deadly.
The current outbreak as clean water sources dry up, the Medical official said, deepening a humanitarian crisis in a country that is on the verge of famine.
