Somaliland:Late Comdr Abdillahi Alas Buried Stately

The late Abdillahi Haji Jama Alas was laid to rest yesterday in state burial led by Defence Minister Hon. Ahmed Haji Ali Adami hence attended by all Chief commanders of the various arms of the national forces, several cabinet ministers, members of parliament, eminent personalities and members of the public.

Consolations to the family, relatives and friends of the former army commander was led by non other than the Head of State himself who described the late top military officer as a sincere one to the armed forces.

H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud Silanyo who spoke on his own behalf and that of the government and the people of the republic sent his personal condolence immediately upon the demise of the late commander on Friday the 6th Jan 2017 at Hargeisa Hospital.

The President described the deceased as a diligent and sincere official who was a force behind many of the triumphs earned by the forces.

The KULMIYE party chairman and Presidential aspirant candidate are amongst the first people to send their condolences.

He was one of the longest serving top commanders.
