Somaliland was among the countries invited to participate in the Turkish African Business Summit 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Hon Ali Hamud Jibril , Somaliland Minister of Technology and Coordination of Assemblies was among the international figures attending the summit.
The summit was officially opened by Hon Binali Yildirim , the Turkish Prime Minister , in his opening speech he highlighted the significance of TABS2016 to the participants of the summit.

Somaliland Minister of Technology and Coordination of Assemblies also visited Turk Telecom headquarters, the largest in Turkey for discussions on how to establish a data base for Somaliland.

Organized by TABA, Turkish African Business Summit 2016 attracted over 5000 African and Turkish business people in Istanbul, Turkey. (30th of September-2nd of October 2016) TABS2016 is organized to foster the trade relations between Turkey and African countries, by providing unique occasions to delegates in building networks and creating new business opportunities.
