Members of Somaliland House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted against approving the National Tender Board bill.
During today’s session chaired by he first deputy speaker Hon Bashe Mohamed Farah, Members of Somaliland House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted against passing the National Tender Board bill.
Out of the 40 MPs present during the 33 MPs voted against the National Tender Board bill, 3 MPs in favor, while 4 MPS abstained.
The MPs declined to approve the National Tender Board bill on the grounds that the Board will lose its status as independent public institution.
National Tender Board bill if approved would fall under the Somaliland Ministry of Finance
