The Vice President, Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismael aka Sayli’i has received,today received, at the Presidential Headquarters in Hargeisa, the delegation from of Kuwait-based Aid Organization better known as “Revival of Islamic Heritage society, the State of Kuwait” led by Sheikh Jasem Mohamed.
The delegation from Kuwait aid organization held discussions with Somaliland VP on talks concerning the drought that hit most rural parts in Somaliland.
The discussion took hours as the talks focused on relief aid projects that Kuwait relief organization to implement in Somaliland.
Somaliland minister of endowment and religious affairs, Shiekh Khalil has said that the mission of the Kuwait-based relief organizations delegation is to respond to the drought victims that left many nomads without livestock.
The delegation arrived in the country yesterday and will support 2000 families to receive food rations after they lost all their precious belongings due to the drought that stricken most rural areas in Somaliland.
The delegation will implement projects aimed at creating reservoirs amid the recurrent droughts which lead to shortage of water during the dry seasons.
Vice President Saylici praised the efforts of His Majesty Emir of Kuwait in supporting the Somaliland cause at political, humanitarian and development levels, and the development projects carried out by the State of Kuwait for the people inSomaliland, which confirms the great interest delivered by the State of Kuwait.
He hailed the efforts of the Charity Aid Organization, led by Chairman of the Board Shaikh Shiekh Jasem Mohamed, in providing charitable and humanitarian aids for countries and people affected in various humanitarian conditions.
