Ethiopia and Somaliland officials conclude 3 days meeting on Berbera port

The Latest — Somaliland and Ethiopian Officials concluded Thursday three days of meetings in Debre Zeit, focusing on Ethiopia’s increasing needs of the Berbera port.
 The Somaliland delegation led by  Somaliland’s Berbera port manager Eng. Ali Omar Mohamed “Ali Hor Hor” expressed optimism about the discussion yielding positive results.
“Ethiopia will increase its dependence of the Berbera port in terms of exporting and importing its commercial goods,” said Adan Muse Jibril, Somaliland’s Ambassador in Addis Ababa. “It’s a good achievement for both the people of Somaliland and the people of Ethiopia.”
Ethiopian Maritime Affairs Authority Mr. Mekonnen Abera said he pleased the agreement penned both of the officials for the enhancements of the Ethiopia’s using of the Berbera port.
The agreement reached between the officials will help the regional integration when it comes to trade, business and people to people.
