Somaliland: Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Meets President Silanyo

The  Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has received Somaliland president HE Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo and his high level delegation on Wednesday at his palace for talks.

Media barred from attending the high level meeting between Amir of Kuwait and the president.

The discussions that the two heads of states held centered on enhancing the bilateral and the regional security in the hostile Horn of Africa.

President Silanyo has applauded the level of cooperation that Kuwait has with Somaliland and further reiterated that the numerous projects that Kuwait implemented in Somaliland were helpful.

Amiir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the visiting Somaliland delegation in the palace.

The president has met with the chairman of Kuwait’s humanitarian organization, Dr. Abdullah Matouq Al-Matouq.

Ministers of religious affairs and justice were in attendance during the talks. The president has raised with them on the drought that hit most of Somaliland regions. The president is to attend a function on Thursday.
