The United Arab Emirates has sent a high level delegation to Somaliland for the second time and SL representative to the UAE greeted the delegates at Egal International airport on Thursday.
The mission of the delegation is to assess the impact of drought which hard hit to most regions in Somaliland.
The delegation from the UAE is part of the Khalifa Foundation which carries out humanitarian relief projects towards drought stricken families in Somaliland.
Somaliland president formed a national committee to coordinate the relief efforts taking place in the country.
The international aid agencies came under fire for their unwilling commitment to respond to the dire situations faced by many herders in Somaliland.
