Honorable Members of Somaliland house of parliament today in a session chaired by the first deputy speaker Hon Bashe Mohamed Farah overwhelmingly voted in favor of passing the 2016 national budget.
During today’s session 46 members of the house were present; the 1st deputy speaker presented budget before the house, this was followed by intense and heated deliberations on five points of contention and the debate concluded by the ensuing vote which resulted as follows:-
- Voted in Favor -40MP’s
- Against—- 5 MP’s
The 1st Deputy speaker abstained hence the approval by House of Representatives of the 2016 national budget.
