Former Fishery Minister Hon. Mohamed Yasin Hasan has deplored the extent of tribalism and nepostism in Somaliland.
He accused president Ahmed Silanyo’s leadership of being responsible when it comes to the prevalence of nepatism in the country.
He said that the situation went from bad to worse over the past five years that the incumbent president has been in power.
He indicated that the current Somaliland representative to the United Arab Emirates got the position through the employ of nepotism.
He alleged that he diverts state money for his own personal use.
Mr. Yasin has highlighted that the widespread of tribalism and nepotism undermines the good governance and paves the way for the corruption to take root in the government.
He added that these would jeapordize equal justice and fairness in Somaliland.
