Members of diaspora community that hail from eastern regions of Somaliland and who are staunch supporters of Khatumo ideology have held talks with newly appointed UK ambassador to Somalia Ms. Harriet Mathew and officials from the Foreign and Commonwealth office.
They have appealed to the UK officails to stop the aid it provides to Somaliland which it uses to instigate unrest and violence within Sool, Sanaag and Ayn regions.
They have asked the UK government officials which they met to assist residents in the eastern regions on health, water and education.
Mr. Ali Khalif Galeyr, the leader of Khatumo insurgents that fight for the emancipation of Sool, Sanaag and Ayn regions has recently admitted that his group is going to get engaged talks with Somaliland government.
SL authority has welcomed the statement although a venue and date to hold the talks set to be announced.
