Somaliland: Children who have less time for Recreational Activities have been proven to lack certain social skills

Date:

If you are resides in Hargeisa or any other town in Somaliland, then you will definitely aware with the problems of kids/youngsters for playing activities most of the villages and districts don’t have outdoor places that child to play and if some have very few playing grounds it isn’t enough. Playing pre-school for kids’ gives opportunities to improve their development stages. Kids learn extra by participating in playing and that makes them easy for social interaction. Playing pre-school also gives them chance to speak that help students improve their oral communication abilities and expression too.

“Pre-school children need to play!” lament pediatric occupational therapist Angela Hanscom in a post for The Washington Post’s Answer Sheet.

She admits that, like many other world parents, she once viewed preschool as an important time to begin to develop her daughter’s academic skills. She soon found out that her “obsession” with her daughter’s academic success at such an early age was in fact depriving her of other necessary skills and creating emotional issues, a phenomenon she says is directly related to a decrease in play in developing kids.

Although all children develop in their own unique fashion, as a direct result of both hereditary and environmental influences, there is a certain pattern of development that applies to nearly all children. It is crucial for today’s teachers and educators to have a thorough understanding of that development and to encourage the parents to allow their children to play pre-school and that will help them to develop.

“Preschool years are not only optimal for children to learn through play, but also a critical developmental period. If children are not given enough natural movement and play experiences, they start their academic careers with a disadvantage,” Hansom said.

Most of Somaliland Parents do not understand the role of development in the behavior of the children both pre-school and after and often find that they are frustrated in their working lives. Most of our houses are small rooms that have been arranged improperly and it is difficult for our kids to get enough natural movement even it happens sometimes that some rooms aren’t allowed for kids to enter because they are kept for visitors but our kids should be given highest priority to get a place to play since not getting enough natural movement will have a disadvantage for academic Careers of our kids.

Research that pediatric occupational therapist Angela Hanscom has displayed continually supports this belief—children who have fewer meaningful play experiences have been proven to lack certain social skills. These children “are more likely to be clumsy, have difficulty paying attention, trouble controlling their emotions, utilize poor problem-solving methods, and demonstrate difficulties with social interactions.

As the research proves there are consistently seeing sensory, motor, and cognitive issues pop up more and more in later childhood, partly because of inadequate opportunities to move and play at an early age,” she said. As a result, Hanscom says schools frequently are playing catch-up to make up for the emotional issues spawned from play-less preschool.

International Schools invest in meditation and specialized exercises to combat social and emotional issues for the youngest of learners whereas Hanscom says meaningful play could have been the answer all along “Children just need the time, the space, and the permission to be kids.

By the end Most of Somaliland Parents do not understand the role of development in the behavior of the children both pre-school and after and often find that they are frustrated in their working lives by reading world researches or even making systematic research will help us to combat social and emotional issues for the youngest of learners Since children who have fewer meaningful play experiences have been proven to lack certain social skills.
