Egypt has sent its Djibouti ambassador H.E Mohamed Al Amiid to Somaliland to pave the way for establishing close bilateral ties. Mr. Mohamed has started days official working visit to Hargeisa and met with SL foreign minister.
SL Minister of Health Mr. Suleiman Isse Ahmed has received the Egyptian ambassador to Djibouti today at his office and held discussions.
Mr. Mohamed, Egyptian ambassador has announced that 15 medical doctors flanked by nurses will arrive in Somaliland today and will provide medical services to Somaliland citizens.
He said that this is the second time that his country sent such medical personals to Somaliland.
He stressed that many patients will benefit from the operations that Egyptian doctors will conduct in the country.
He remarked that this will boost the cooperation between the two countries.
On the other hand, Mr. Mohamed has announced that SL minister of health will pay an official visit to Egypt and he will be heading a delegation from Somaliland.
The delegation is expected to leave for Egypt in October, 2015.
The Minister of Health has thanked the Egyptian government for bringing doctors to Somaliland.
He pointed out that patients have been registered where the doctors are expected to offer medical treatments once they start work.
