The current Somaliland government has finalized its plans to hand over the management of country’s only Fuel Storage tanks in Berbera Port according to reports. It is said that the gov’t intends to hand over to Fuel Facility storage to fuel importing firms.
SL minister of Commerce has told the news to the parliamentary commission during a meeting that the minister held with Good Governance and Anti Corruption Commission.
The Minister has confirmed that his ministry is not involved but will sign once the deal is finalized.
Hon. Nasir Ali Shire, a member of the parliament commission has told that the minister revealed the privatization of the fuel storage facility.
The Minister has declined to offer details when and which firm is to takeover the administration of the fuel port facility storage.
Gov’t officials have refuted the handover.
