Traffic lights are coming to Hargeisa for the second time in its independence
HARGEISA- The municipal government has installed solar powered traffic lights to six major roundabouts in Hargeisa today. Residents have seen the newly installed traffic lights which they said was a big progress.
The traffic lights are aimed to control the present chaotic state of traffic at strategic junctions in the capital.
Drivers who do not know the traffic code will receive special training on how to negotiate through the green, red or amber lights so they obey the law
The municipal government will conduct an awareness campaign to help drivers, who learned how to drive when it comes to the newly installed traffic lights.
Former mayor of Hargeisa installed traffic lights but they were later destroyed.
