Somaliland: Dahabshiil Group dials up funds to help with iftar campaign during Ramadan

Date:

In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, Dahabshiil Group of Companies has once again this year dialed up to help with the yearly iftar initiative and with proffering much-needed help to refugees from Yemen living in Hargeisa.

Through Dahabshiil’s funds donations, Mosques across Hargeisa have distributed hundreds of thousands of iftar meals during the month of Ramadan.

An official who chooses to remain anonymous (in keeping with Islamic view of charities)  from the Ministry of Religious Affairs added, “ In cooperation with Dahabshiil and  the Imams of a couple dozen Mosques, we were able to offer iftar meals across Hargeisa during the holy month of Ramadan to help people break fast.”

On the other hand, Dahabshiil officials handed over a hefty sum of money to the Yemeni Refugee Committee to help ease the living conditions of  people who fled the Yemeni conflict finding refuge in the city of Hargeisa

Dahabshiil’s heritage has built its base on a culture of philanthropy that rings true throughout the core of group.

Dahabshiil has a 40-year history of supporting  communities around the world, and invests millions of dollars in community regeneration projects and charitable efforts across the 150 countries it operates.
