Somaliland: SOHASCO launches 11 Vocational Training Courses for 690 Students

The first orientation session of the newly enrolled 690 students was held today at the of SOHASCO Youth Center.

The meeting attended SOHASCO management team along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports officials welcomed new trainees to the center and congratulated them on being selected for the training courses.

The purpose of this orientation session was to deliver information about the training and Center such as the rules, regulations and protocols of the center.

These training are part of the Youth Skills Development Project, funded by UNFPA along with MoYS.

SOHASCO center has been completely renovated and added new classes and large auditorium, with UNFPA funding.

11 courses enrolled both girls and boys students include, among others handicrafts, cooking, sewing, market skills, communication, social media are part of a youth skills development project funded by the UNFPA through the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

SOHASCO center started to function the year 2007.
