Somaliland: Displaced by Climate Change from Anod to Borame-The Story of Fatuma

THT: Thousands of ordinary people in rural areas of Somaliland are have been availed ease of clean and sufficient water in which 150 water harvesting facilities have been put in place.

This support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funding from the Global Environment Facility Least Developed Countries Fund,has enabled the government of Somaliland  help people like  Fatuma Mohamed Salah get access to water for drinking, cooking and watering livestock.

key to slowing the spread of COVID-19 by making it easier to wash hands and clean household items, its  a vital resource for Fardosa and her family from Las Anod in eastern Sool region where she was  displaced to Borame in the western Awdal region by climate change induced drought.
