The semi-autonomous regional state of Puntland will host a reconciliation conference to iron out the difference between the federal government and its member states.
In a press conference, Puntland’s newly elected President, Said Abdullahi Dani announced that his administration will host peace conference for Somali leaders.
The leader pledged that Puntland will organise to bring together the Federal and regional leaders in mid-March this year in Garowe.
Deni said the plan to host a meeting was proposed by Somali president, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
Last Saturday, Puntland has inaugurated its new President Said Abdullah Deni and deputy President.
President Deni emerged a winner in the third round of voting in the region’s parliament beating 20 other candidates early this month making five President of the state in northeastern Somalia.
During his campaign, Deni pledged that he would promote economy and fight corruption.
Deni 52, was former Somali Ministry of planning in the government led by former prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed.
