H.E Abdihakim Abdillahi Omer Camey , the Vice President of Puntland last night was the guest of Honor at the launching of the new innovative E-Dahab mobile money service by Dahabshill group and SOMTEL in semi-autonomous region of Somalia, the new service will allow customers to use their money for transfers, purchases, payment of bills, and airtime recharge.
SOMTEL one of the leading telecommunication companies earlier this year launched its operations in Puntland the semi-autonomous region of Somalia.
In a well-attended ceremony last night held at the Horn of Africa University conference hall in Garowe, Mr. Abdurrahman Ali Abdi, the General Manager of Dahabshiil Operations Center briefed the participants on the benefits of the new service to be launched, and its contribution to the development of the business sector and general economy and plans to create 600 jobs in the region. He, also, took the participants through the different areas that Dahabshiil Group covers in business, and how all of these areas return value to the society as part of its social responsibility program.
