Mogadishu, Somalia-UN Special Representative for Somalia, Nicholas Kay said that peacekeeping forces from AU mission in Somalia are to be received air-crafts, engineers and military big trucks in order to increase fighting against Al Shabaab.
Envoy Kay said that it was important for AU Troops to get military equipment including battlewagons and military helicopters which will play a part the joint offensives against Al Shabab militants in Somalia.
“These military supplies will help Somalia National Army, along with African Union troops to get more capacity to push Al Shabab out of Somalia” Mr. Nicholas Kay said.
However, Mr. Kay suggested this word while he was briefing Security Council progress made by Somalia National Army, alongside Africa Union forces battling Al Shabaab for the past 6 years.
