Press Statement from the Foreign Ministry
Government has announced her eagerness to have dialogue with local factions and bordering countries to stop the political hostility in Taleh in Sool province, Buhodle and eastern Sanaag. Somaliland is a independent nation and citizens have the right to have voice in the future progress of the country but instigating violence and insecurity is not tolerable and further revealed that this can offer a window of opportunity to Al Shabab to take advantage. Foreign Ministry has stated her continuation to have bilateral ties with the International Community (IC), Somalia and Puntland to ensure all have peace and stability.
It is the commitment of the country to resolve all domestic conflicts through fostering dialogue according t the Foreign Ministry. Mr. Said Ali Musa, Foreign ministry spokesman has said that the country is welcoming every opportunity to begin talks with local groups and closest nations to resolve conflicts through peaceful manner. It is called that the IC could play significant role to facilitate possible venue for the talks to be held but must be kept in mind that the statehood is non-negotiatable.
The press statement was issued by Mr. Said Ali Musa public relations and spokesman for the ministry and revealed that the defense forces are present in accordance with countries and international laws. Mr. Said has stated that the military operations ended peacefully and residents have welcomed the move. Mr. Said, Foreign Ministry spokesman has further pointed out that the government is responsible for ensuring the well being of her citizens. He added that Silanyo regime did all it could in his power to foster reconciliation, strengthen peace and stability and guaranteed the progress of eastern provinces which are lagging behind the rest. He affirmed that he reached a deal with militia group, offered ministerial posts and initiated dialogue with traditional leaders to discuss the way forward for ending the conflict.
